Komolika Bari and Sakshi Chaudhary made their way to the gold medal match in the women’s junior recurve individual and women’s junior compound individual at the World Archery Youth Championships in Wroclaw, Poland on Thursday.

Komalika Bari defeated Casey Kaufhold of USA 6-4 in the semifinal and will meet Elia Canales of Spain in the final on Sunday. Komalika had defeated Mao Watanabe of Japan 6-5 in the quarterfinals.

In women’s junior compound, Sakshi Chaudhary defeated Anna Scarbrough of USA 144-142 to march into the final. Sakshi had stunned top-seeded Dafne Quintero of Mexico 147-145 in the quarterfinal. She will face Amanda Milanric of Croatia in the final on Sunday.

In the men’s junior compound Rishabh Yadav lost his semifinal to Robin Jaamta of Estonia by 146-147 and will take on Sebastian Garcia of Mexico in the bronze medal play-off.

No Indian archer could make it to the semi-final stage in men’s junior men’s recurve as the lone Indian to make it to the quarterfinal stage, Parth Salunkhe, bowed out losing 0-6 against Russia’s Osorov Buianto.
